"Unsurpassed Experience in Solar PV and Energy Efficiency Measures"
Selected Projects
Solarized School
District Anderson, CA – The Happy Valley Unified School District (HVUSD)
is completing the installation of two solar electric (PV) systems. Totaling 211
kW, the PV systems generate enough power to meet nearly all the electricity needs
of the two schools or enough to serve about 53 homes. The PV systems are a 106.7
kW PV system at the HVUSD Palm Avenue Elementary School and a 104.4 kW PV System
at the HVUSD Cloverdale Primary School.
Solarized School District, Anderson, CA
Spectrum provided this Northern California School District with three PV systems
at two campuses. The West Valley Campuses first 245 kW project was completed in
July 2006 and the second 355 kW project will be completed in September 2007. This
project also included major energy efficiency measures and was completed in the
summer of 2006. The North Valley campus is a 55 kW system and was completed in the
spring of 2007. To date Spectrum has provided the District 655 kW of solar and major
energy efficiency measures.
“I am proud that the District has been a leader in collaborating with private industry,
utilities, and the government to harness the power of the sun. The fact that the
District is doing its share to reduce the burning of fossil fuels and at the same
time cutting the cost of energy in the District for many years to come, is something
future generations will salute and appreciate.” Randy Palomino, AUHSD Superintendent
“At a time when more and more people are coming to realize the sun’s potential as
a sure source of reliable and affordable energy, having this state of the art solar
system on our campus, will expose our students to a new chapter in technology.”
Karl Stemmler, Principal West Valley High, AUHSD

Office Building, Sacramento, CA
SED provided a turnkey 100 kW PV system integrated into the building as roof equipment
screens composed of 2 roof mounted, racked arrays with approximately 702 high efficiency
Kyocera Solar KC167G PV modules and three Xantrex inverters. The PV system replaces
some 11% of the building’s electrical usage and generate over $781,000 in utility
savings and tax savings over its 30 year life.
”
Spectrum Energy showed us how we could use solar to improve our cash flow. With
Spectrum’s help, we are able to improve our bottom line while doing the right thing
for the environment and our community. Spectrum Energy’s professionals provided
us with a top notch PV system and made the process nearly hassle free. I would strongly
recommend Spectrum Energy as an experienced and capable provider of commercial PV
systems and for their attention to meeting the client’s needs.” Mort Friedman,
President, Town and Country Village LLC
Poultry Farm, Galt, CA
SED provided a turnkey 52 kW PV system with 1,440 First Solar FS40-D PV
modules, one Xantrex PV45208 inverter and four SMA SWR2500U inverters as a ground
mount, racked system. This system resulted in more than a $50,000 positive cash
flow in the first year. Over the 30-year life of the system, it generates over $550,000
in energy and tax savings after loan payments. Installation was completed in October
2003.
“
I am very pleased with my solar PV system from Spectrum Energy Development, Inc.

Vineyard
Water Pumping and Service Loads, Madera, CA
SED provided a turnkey 36 kW PV system with approximately 216 Kyocera Solar
PV modules and two Xantrex PV15208 inverters. It was installed in Fall 2004 and
serves both the water pumping loads of the vineyard and the nearby residence. With
15 year financing, the energy and tax savings of this system result in more than
a $55,000 positive cash flow in the first year after loan payments and the cumulative
cash flow stays significantly positive throughout the life of the loan. Over the
